The National Education Health and Allied Workers Union in the Limpopo province today welcomed the news of the resignation of the Limpopo department of Roads and Transportation head, Ntau Letebele.

NEHAWU said it expects Letebele to account for unlawfully and improperly awarding a multimillion rand tender to On-Point Engineering Company as reported by the Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela in her report last year.

NEHAWU Provincial Chairperson Mike Shingange said people who are responsible for corrupt activities in the departments must excuse themselves from their duties.

Shangange added Nehawu has been calling for all corrupt activities to be investigated, because the tax payers money is spent illegally.
