SACP condemns the death of seven aspirant traffic officers

The South African Communist Party has called for a commission of inquiry into the death of aspirant traffic officers in Pietermaritzburg.

The incident happened last week, whereby a group of people were asked to run as part of their test to qualify for the jobs, seven people died.

SACP Secretary General Themba Mthembu said the commission would be able to establish, what led to the death of those people.

Mthembu further said the party believes that whatever action is taken should be determined by the outcome of the commission of enquiry.

SACP has condemned a call by the Inkatha Freedom Party,calling for MEC Willies Mchunu to resign.
