Needy charities are reportedly being deprived of crucial Lotto funding while small sporting bodies cash in.
According to a local newspaper, the chairperson of the National Lottery Board Alfred Nevhutanda has admitted that the expenditure model is skewed.
The newspaper says the Teddy Bear Clinic, a charity that helps more than three-thousand abused children every year, has been allocated only R4 million since 2007.
The SA Table Tennis Board was given more than R8 million in the same period.
