ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe says the party will meet its Youth League on Monday to discuss its undermining of the senior bodies’ leadership with its comments about regime change in Botswana.
Mantashe says the meeting will lead to a decision on how to respond to the League’s actions as they constituted a serious transgression.
Mantashe also accused the League of trying to isolate ANC spokesperson Jackson Mthembu by publicly attacking him over his rebuke of Julius Malema’s comments on helping to topple Botswana’s government.
Meanwhile, the League said yesterday it "totally rejected" the government's loan to Swaziland.
Spokesperson Floyd Shivambu says it is “totally out of order” to give a R2.5 billion loan to an undemocratic country.
