Public servants angry over wage negotiations

The Public Servants' Association has accused government of a lack of urgency in finalising a wage agreement.

The PSA’s Manie de Clercq says the lazy manner in which the issues raised by labour are being dealt with is creating a lot of anger and dissatisfaction.

The government offered trade unions a six-percent salary hike last week after the PSA had tabled its demands months ago.

Unions want an eight-percent increase.
