A 27 year old dormitory matron who was entrusted to look over pupils at Oprah Winfrey leadership academy for girls had been arrested for being a sexual predator.
She faces chargers for assault, criminal injuries and soliciting under age girls to perform indecent acts.
The matron was arrested on Thursday and is being held in the Vereeniging police cells, until she makes her appearance in the Sebokeng Magistrate Court.
She allegedly swore and screamed at the girls sexually assaulted them and fondled one of them. A pupil that ran away allegedly exposed the matron and brought the whole incident to light.
"It’s is my deepest hope that the accused is brought to justice and that this serves as a reminder that any time a child has the courage to step forward, it is our duty as adults to listen and take immediate action," says Oprah.
