CDP warns against accepting an “immoral lifestyle”

The Christian Democratic Party has called on parents to be vigilant before it’s too late.

The Pretoria High Court made a ruling against certain sections of the Sexual Offences Amendment Act.

The CDP’s Theunis Botha said they welcomed the judgement by Judge Pierre Rabie saying it recognised children’s rights to dignity, privacy and their right to participate in decisions about sexuality.

Botha said that the government has introduced a condition in the Act which has stripped a well intended legislation.

“We will approach other Christian parties and interested groups to collectively apply our minds as to how to re-introduce sensible legislation properly handling this matter” Botha said.

He added that the CDP wants to warn South Africans to guard against subtle ways they are being dragged into accepting an immoral lifestyle.
