The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa has today pledged its support to the newly appointed hospital CEO.

Denosa’s communication manager Sibongiseni Delihlazo said they hope that their proficient health background will serve as a silver lining given the current poor state of infrastructure in the country’s hospitals.

Delihlazo said “given the challenges in the country’s health sector and the implementation of the National Health Insurance, any assessment of accounting officers like CEO’s in the country’s health sector is a welcomed move.”

Delihlazo said that the move will ensure that CEO’s have the necessary qualifications and are fit for the tasks for which they are appointed.

“We welcome these appointments and commit to working with them as we are conscious that the health challenges need leadership skills at all levels, including nurses whom health will not be complete without” Delihlazo added.
