The Western Cape Department of Health today said the patient complaints line has proven to be a huge success.

In total 594 queries were raised of which 578 were resolved.

The department also conducted a survey and the call centre shows that patients are very satisfied with the service provided by the call centre.

Ministerial Spokesperson Helene Rossouw said over the past five it has proved to be so successful and it will be extended to all the health facilities in the Metro this year.

Rossouw said they are looking to extend the complaint line across the province by 2018.
