Trade union calls on Erwin to apologise to the nation

Trade union Solidarity has asked the Minister of Public Enterprises Alec Erwin to apologise for misleading South Africans about problems at Koeberg. The call comes after Erwin yesterday denied that he had said sabotage was responsible for the power crisis at the nuclear power station. Solidarity says in a statement both Erwin and Eskom should rather be looking for real solutions. The statement adds that Solidarity is the largest trade union at Koeberg and its members are enraged about the fact that they are being implicated in a problem that is, in fact, the consequence of bad management and poor planning.
