Trade union solidarity has expressed its concern into the liquidation of Nationwide Airlines especially those employees belonging to its union.

According to spokesperson Jaco Kleynhans Solidarity the trade union is planning a request for the liquidator can be investigated to check whether no gross negligence on management’s side took place.

“The fact that Nationwide has applied for liquidation themselves, indicates that there is a slim chance that an investor will buy a share in the company,” says Kleynhans.

The trade union said that they are concerned with the allegations that top management has enriched themselves leading to the company going bankrupt.

“We would like to see that these allegations are investigated by the liquidators. Meanwhile Solidarity is preparing to apply to the liquidator for damages on behalf of its member.”
