The African National Congress identified five priority areas for the next five years.
During its election manifesto launch in East London today, ANC president Jacob Zuma said these were the areas that the party will focus on for the next five years, creation of decent work , sustainable livelihoods, education, health, rural development, food security as well as land reform, and the fight against crime and corruption.
He added that the party planned to reduce the rate of new HIV infections by 50-percent through an "aggressive prevention campaign".
It would also expand access to appropriate treatment, care and support to at least 80-percent of all HIV-positive people and their families.
