Yesterday the National Sea Rescue Institute responded to a report of a man on wind surf.
The man is from Austria and his name is Bernhard Teubl, who got into difficulty at Melkbosstrand on the West Coast while wind surfing.
Teubl suffered a broken knee after managing to swim to shore through heavy surf.
NSR’s Craig Lambinon says the man was treated in NSR vehicle and was later taken to hospital.
He is safe and his also in a stable condition says, Lambinon.
