Two people have died and another critically injured after their vehicle overturned on Modderdam Road in Bellville this morning.
ER24 paramedics say when rescue workers arrived at the scene one of the deceased was trapped under the vehicle and declared dead on arrival.
The other had been ejected from the vehicle and was also declared dead on arrival.
The local fire department had to use the Jaws of Life to cut out a critical patient.
The man was rushed to hospital.
According to an eyewitness the vehicle was allegedly travelling in the direction of Belhar when it rolled and crossed the middle island and landed in the oncoming lane.
