CapeNature says additional fire fighting crews from the Northern part of the country have been called in to help fight the fires in the Boland mountains.
The additional fire fighters are expected to arrive before the end of the week and will assist the Cape Nature fire-fighters, together with two teams brought in from the Free State last month.
Meanwhile Cape Town residents are warned to prepare themselves for today as a heat wave is forecast over most of the Province. Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 38 degrees in the Mother City. It is common for runaway fires to flare up with the increase in high temperatures and strong winds and residents are cautioned to be on careful.
