Suspect arrested in Woodstock

Yesterday a 25 year old male suspect was arrested for Housebreaking and Theft in Grey Street, Woodstock.

Sergeant Hilton Malila said the arrest follows after police members on routine patrols, responded to a burglary in progress complaint at a business premises situated in Grey Street, Woodstock.

During a preliminary investigation, it was revealed that entry to the business premises was gained through the roof.

The police searched the premises and found the suspect still inside the premises. It is alleged that the suspects got access to the roof entrance by removing the roof tiles.

The was also an evidence that could link the suspect to other housebreaking incidents in the Woodstock area.

He will appear on Cape Town magistrates court on Monday on charges of housebreaking and theft.
