A 15 month-old toddler has been killed and five other people injured when a taxi overturned in Durbanville yesterday.
Cape Town emergency services say a Toyota Hi Ace taxi travelling on the Wellington road towards Fisantekraal rolled when it had a tire burst.
The toddler sustained massive trauma and was declared dead on the scene.
Two of the five other patients including the driver were treated for serious injuries while the rest of the passengers only sustained minor injuries.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for further treatment. Police are investigating the accident.
