Khayelitsha residents attending the funeral of Viwe Mnembe , demanded justice for the young girls death.
Mnembe was found dead after she was allegedly abducted by her mother’s ex-boyfriend.
Police arrested Mbulelo Verdana after he had been harassing the girls mother with threatening letters.
Khayelitsha residents promise to turn up in numbers on Monday when the suspect appears in court on Monday.
The angry residents have pushed authorities to toughen up when it comes to child abusers.
