Residents of Blikkiesdorp have written an open letter to the Mayor of Cape Town Dan Plato about what they alleged is ignorance form the city.
Residents have made numerous attempts to voice their concerns, including Eskom, the relocation of residents from Symphony Way to Blikkiesdorp.
Western Cape Anti Eviction Campaign spokesperson Willy Sheun says they first contact with Plato was in May.
“Up until now we have tried to give Plato the benefit of the doubt”.
“We have continuously tried to make follow up appointments with Plato about his promise to provide electricity,”
Since Plato is not willing to help us we thought we would go straight to Eskom added Sheun.
