Cape Town traffic services have come up with a novel idea to promote road safety it will now reward the courteous driver.
Traffic services spokesperson Kevin Jacobs says the initiative is based more on recognition and incentive than reprimand and sanction.
“Specially engraved pens and key rings, compliments of Cape Town Traffic Services, will be handed to those spotted being considerate to other drivers”.
Also those drivers who take precaution when it pedestrians and cyclist, added Jacobs.
