Thousands of cyclists have braved the notorious Cape Doctor as this years Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Cycle Tour got underway early this morning.
The weather office has warned that the south-easterly wind could reach speeds of up to 60km/h, although sunny weather is expected for most of the day.
This year, cycling legend Lance Armstrong, is a participant.
The 109km race spans the picturesque Cape Peninsula.
