Following grievances by the South African Medical Association over poor management of salary payments under the Occupation Specific Dispensation, the Health Department has urged doctors to co-operate with its implementation, instead of threatening to strike.
The department says it is working closely with doctor unions to resolve the problems.
The department has reportedly claimed that over 96% of the OSD has been successfully implemented.
