A 21 year old man allegedly strangled his 19 year old girlfriend before calling her father to confess.
According to Inspector Sphiwe Lukhele the two had been arguing at the home of a friend of the boyfriend.
The man then apparently asked his friend to leave so that they could resolve the argument.
It is believed that after the friend left, he killed his girlfriend and fled.
On his return to the house, the friend found the girl’s naked body on the bed.
She had several bruises on her neck.
The alleged killer reportedly phoned the girl’s father and told him he had murdered her. He also directed the father to the murder scene.
The suspect is at large.
A case of murder is being investigated.
