Three suspects were arrested in Athlone this morning for drug dealing in the area.
The arrests followed after police reacted on information received from the community and executed a search warrant.
Police spokesperson Inspector Ian Bennett says a search warrant was issued for the known drug house and members proceeded to execute the warrant.
Drugs worth nearly a thousand rand were confiscated, these included 8 packets of tik valued at R320.00 and 9 dagga sticks of.
Earlier we reported that nine 80kg of dagga bags were confiscated in Phillipi East, three suspects were arrested also and they appeared in court today.
The dagga was worth R270 000.
The Athlone suspects will appear in the Local Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, on charges of possession of drugs.
