On Wednesday the police arrested four men for the possession of suspected stolen property in Victoria Road, Woodstock.
Police received information from the public about suspects who were busy removing metal drain covers from the pavement in Barton Street, Woodstock.
When police members arrived at the scene, the suspects sped off in a white Toyota bakkie.
The police manage to stop the bakkie during a high speed chase, in Victoria Street.
Six heavy metal pavement drain covers were seized at the back of the vehicle.
The four suspects arrested will appear in the Cape Town Magistrates’ court on Friday the 6th of August to face charges of possession of stolen property and theft.
