It has emerged that chaos broke out in Tlokweng in North West on Monday.
During government officials’, including Premier Thandi Modise, visit to the area yesterday, police confirmed that two people were shot and killed and another was wounded during a protest over ritual killings in Tlokweng.
Independent Complaints Directorate spokesperson Moses Dlamini says an investigation is underway into the shootings.
Residents went on the rampage on Sunday after the funeral of Thabiso Moloi.
Residents suspect that Moloi was killed for muti.
