Public Enterprises Minister Malusi Gigaba says government is aware that the reckless debate on nationalisation is damaging South Africa's image.

Gigaba assured an American Chamber of Commerce meeting in Johannesburg that leaders would not implement unconstitutional measures.

The Minister conceded that the concerns raised by those calling for the nationalisation of the country's assets were legitimate. But he stressed that a solution was needed that would unite the country, not further divide it.
