ANC loses patience with Youth League

The ANC has publicly rebuked its Youth League on what the senior body calls the ANCYL’s “extremely thoughtless and embarrassing pronouncements” on regime change in Botswana.

The party says the League’s statement that it will establish a Botswana Command Team oppose what it described as “the puppet regime” of Botswana, is a total deviation and an affront to the ANC policies.

Spokesperson Jackson Mthembu says the Youth League’s ill-discipline in insulting ad disrespecting President Ian Khama has clearly crossed the political line.
