The Eastern Cape Transport Department has been given the all-clear by the Auditor-General in an unqualified report.
Spokesperson Ncedo Kumbaca said this is the second consecutive year that the department has received a clean bill of health.
He describes it as testimony of the maintenance of a high standard and consistency by the department, without regression from the 2009/10 unqualified report.
Kumbaca says the Auditor-General was able to complete the department’s report a lot quicker because of the co-operation and timely response to audit queries by staff.
