A call by opposition parties has initiated President Jacob Zuma to look into calls for a commission of inquiry into the controversial arms deal.

This follows new allegations concerning an audit report from a German company Ferrostaal, in which R300 millions was paid to secure a contract.

An investigation is also being launched into the German company Ferrostaal.

Zuma’s spokesperson Mac Maharaj said, “The arms deal has been an ongoing issue and we know there have been quite a few developments, on and off.”
