Four people were killed and two others were injured when an articulated truck collided with two stationary cars on the N-1 on the outskirts of Vanderbijlpark last night.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeff Wicks says two vehicles had been stationary at the roadside when the heavy goods vehicle struck them from behind.
The bodies of the victims were found some 30 metres from the point of impact.
The driver of the truck and his passenger sustained minor injuries.
