Julius Malema will hear this morning whether his legal team has succeeded in getting disciplinary charges against him quashed.
The ANC’s national disciplinary committee deliberated yesterday at Luthuli House in Johannesburg on substantive issues raised, both on the part of Malema and of the party. Malema’s team claims proper procedures were not followed.
A group of Malema supporters gathered overnight at Beyers Naudé Square in Johannesburg again, awaiting the announcement at nine this morning.
They shouted slogans at the media who they say is waging a campaign against the ANC Youth League leader. A number of journalists were wounded and harassed during earlier protests.
