Government pleased with HRSC’s study on public health

Government has welcomed the Human Sciences Research Council’s study on public health.

The study which is entitled ‘South African National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey’ revealed that the bulk of the 25 000 people participated in the survey were pleased with services they received at public institutions.

Acting GCIS CEO Phumla Williams said the study has confirmed what they have been monitoring that public health system is improving and it is getting better.

Williams added that the figures are evidence of the great strides that the government has been making in strengthening and improving the healthcare system.
