The Inkatha Freedom Party has called on the Prisons Civil Rights Union and the South African Police Union to honour salary increases which are in line with an agreement signed in 2011.

IFP Spokesperson on Police Velaphi Ndlovu said this agreement was signed for office workers in police stations countrywide.

Ndlovu said these workers need to pay to be paid what they are worth and this is long overdue.

Ndlovu added that the two trade union Sapo Popcru must honour the bargaining chamber agreement that was agreed upon in 2011.
