Several drug busts results in 11 people being arrested in Cape Town

Two people aged 25 and 28-years-old were on Monday arrested for being in possession of illegal drugs on the corner of Riebeeck and Loop Street. 

The drug bust is part of the City of Cape Town’s Operation Punch which was launched last week. 

Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security JP Smith said when they arrived they found 44 packets of tik, three cellphones and R500 in cash.

On the other hand Metro Police conducted several drug raids whereby in a house in 7th Avenue Grassy Park where four suspects were arrested for being in possession of illegal narcotics. 

In Lavender Hill police confiscated 120 packets of tick and 150 mandrax tablets and 27 dagga stoppa. 

Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security JP Smith said in Voortreker Road in Parow three suspects were arrested after being found in 33 bags of dagga and in Delft four suspects were arrested for being in possession of dagga and tik.
