The Western Cape Department has tabled some immediate and short-to medium term
solutions to solve the energy crisis.
At the Annual Government Meets
business event it was agreed that both government and businesses will come up
with innovative solutions to minimise the economic impact of the current energy
crisis.
Spokesperson for Premier Helen
Zille, Michael Mpofu said some of the short term measures would be, due to
load-shedding scheduled to minimize the impact on business, businesses are
being aware of when things will be shut down so that they can plan there
production as needs be.
Mpofu said talking bout solar pump
and heat pump in households and major buildings, these things can take strain
on the national grid, which we rely on. They help us save electricity and keep
being productive in order to create jobs.
