Tributes continue to pour in for pilot Hendrick Marias

An investigation is underway
into helicopter crash which left Hendrick Marias dead.
It has been reported that
Marias was water bombing a flare up fire at Cape Point when he had to crash
land which resulted in his death.
The fire in the South
Peninsula which started last week Sunday resulted in about five-hundred people
being evacuated from their homes, eight structures destroyed and over
five-thousand hectares of vegetation destroyed.
SANParks Board Chairperson
Kuseni Dlamini said Marias played a vital role in supressing the fire
throughout last week.

Daphne said Mr Dlamini is on record as saying that Mr Marias has made the
ultimate sacrifice in protecting life and property, during the fires that have
been raging across the Table Mountain National Park, including the Cape Point
section in which the accident took place.
