Law enforcement ready for Easter traffic
Traffic law enforcement officers have begun to intensify their operations countrywide as traffic volumes begin to pick up before the Easter Weekend. Spokesperson for the Department of Transport Collen Msibi told BuaNews traffic officials would intensify Arrive Alive's "Operation Emisa" which was launched last week by Minister Jeff Radebe in an attempt to bring down the number of fatalities and injuries on the roads. Msibi says drivers and vehicles will be checked and he appealed for patience when officers pull vehicles off the roads. High traffic volumes are expected especially on the N-One to Limpopo because of Zion Christian Church members who will be heading to Moria in their thousands.
