The City of Cape Town has completed it’s first supplementary valuation roll after the general valuation roll that was issued on the 2 July.
“The valuation roll is meant to take care of properties currently not on the valuation roll or that have changed in value since the valuation of the property roll,” says Valuations Director, Christopher Gavor.
Gavor added that property owners are required to inspect the supplementary valuation roll to see if their properties are affected and if the values are accurate.
There are more than 20 000 properties on the supplementary valuation roll. Notices were posted to property owners as from 29 October and the city has currently processed 37 000 objections.
