Residents in the Hout Bay area can expect to be without water tomorrow as the City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation department will connect the water supply for a new development in the area.
Farouk Roberston, Communication officer for the department said the objective for the cut off is to improve their services.
Roberston also urged residents to ensure that their taps are closed during this exercise.
“If those taps are open, it may cause water loss and it may also cause water damage which the City will not be able to account for and cannot be held liable for.”
Therefore the City has requested the co-operation from the residents of Hout Bay, in order for them to successfully complete the exercise.

It is interesting that I live in Hout Bay and this is the first I've heard about the water being shout off. You would think something this important more should have been done to make this known to all living in the area.
