President Kgalema Motlanthe has expressed his sympathy after the death of the wife of Zimbabwean prime minister.
Susan Tsvangirai was killed in a road accident late yesterday afternoon. Her husband, Morgan, was injured but is in a satisfactory condition.
Motlanthe says the South African government ,the people and the whole of the Southern African Development Community are shocked at the tragedy.
Meanwhile President Robert Mugabe and his wife Grace visited Tsvangirai in hospital last night but refused to speak to reporters.
Susan Tsvangirai was travelling with her husband to a rally south of Harare, when they apparently collided head-on with a lorry. It’s alleged that the driver of the lorry had fallen asleep.
