A man has been treated in isolation in a Cape Town hospital since Monday after showing flu symptoms.
The man recently returned from Argentina. It is reported that the Executive Director of the National Institute for Communicable Diseases, Barry Schoub was quoted as saying there are no official cases of swine flu in South Africa that could be verified in a laboratory.
The institute did not want to speculate about the Cape Town man, and said they will in future not be commenting about any case of suspected swine flu.
