A Cape Town high school learner has died in a stabbing outside the school gates in Lotus River.
Security in the area had been stepped up to curb gang activity and the principal of Zeekoevlei High had arranged police escorts for children leaving the school grounds. It is alleged that the minute the police left yesterday, a fight broke out between youths.
Police rushed back to the school, only to find the boy stabbed to death on the pavement. His identity has not been revealed yet.
