More swine flu cases reported globally

It is reported that the World Health Organisation has confirmed close to a thousand cases of swine flu world wide.

There have been 26 confirmed deaths globally since the virus first broke out in Mexico over a week ago.

Cases of the disease have been confirmed in more than half of the American states and France has reported two more cases.

This follows the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention has reported 226 cases of the virus and one death in 30 states. Thirty people, mostly older children and young adults, have been hospitalised with the disease in the United States.
