Telkom employees are expected to return to work today after an agreement was reached between Telkom and Communication Worker’s Union members.
“The parties have reached consensus on what should be disseminated to members and agreement will be signed by Wednesday,” said CWU’s Gallant Roberts on Saturday.
Telkom workers took strike action for nearly two weeks demanding better salaries.
Many Telkom workers have been on strike since 3 August, demanding that the salary scales of workers be adjusted before implementing a 7.5 percent salary increase backdated to April.
Their campaign has included a march from the Union Buildings and picketing outside the CCMA in Johannesburg.
