United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has held talks with President Jacob Zuma in Durban today, in a bid to improve ties between the two countries.
Clinton, who is on a seven-nation tour of Africa, said the meeting was extremely helpful.
She said President Zuma gave his views on regional issues including Zimbabwe, Somalia and Sudan.
Zuma in turn said they discussed the necessity of transforming global institutions so that it reflects the interest of all countries.
To her tour in the country Clinton arrived in Cape Town this afternoon, where she is expected to visit the Victoria Mxenge Housing Project Community Centre.
She is also expected to meet former president FW de Klerk.
