Police are requesting the assistance of the public in their search for 14 year old Janine Olivia Armstrong.
She accompanied her father to the Promenade mall in Mitchells Plain.
Police spokesperson Inspector Ian Williams says she waited in her fathers bakkie while he withdrew cash from the ATM.
Upon his return to the vehicle, the 14 year old was missing .
Janine is described as slender built, 1.6 meters tall with brown eyes and short hair. She also suffers from a speech impairment and attends the Weltevreden School of Skills.
At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a yellow short sleeved top, three quarter khaki shorts and orange jelly baby shoes.
She likes talking to small children.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the investigating officer, Detective Inspector Charles Julies on 021 370 1706 or Crime Stop on 10 111.
