Police seek public’s assistance in a murder case

Athlone police seek the assistance of the public in a murder case.

This is after 26 years old Safwaan Lippet was shot eight times while driving on Tuesday night.

Lippet died while relatives were rushing him to hospital.

It is believed Lippet was dropping off a friend when he was approached by two men and opened fire on him.

“We have brought two people in for questioning regarding the matter, ” said Athlone police spokesperson Ian Bennet

No arrests have been made yet.
