Former Vodacom CEO Alan Knott- Craig has defended himself against allegations of nepotism.
Knott is quoted as saying he had supported a KPMG investigation into the allegations made against him, but said he was not provided with an official copy of the report and thus cannot comment on the findings.
According to correspondence in his possession, he and other employees against whom allegations were made, have been exonerated by Vodacom shareholders and the board.
The allegations against Knott-Craig involved claims that he helped his son with business ventures using Vodacom resources and also allegedly awarded a multi-million rand contract to a marketing and advertising company run by family members.
