Five people injured in three car collision

Five people were injured in an accident involving three cars in Durbanville on the corners of Durban and Pasita road,said Netcare 911 paramedics.

“It is alleged that an Audi had stopped in front of a Volks Wagen Polo at the robot when a BMW ploughed into the back of their cars,” Netcare 911 spokesperson Lauren Copley said

Paramedics from Netcare 911 and other private emergency services assisted the injured on scene.

This injured included a 50-year old woman driver of the Audi who sustained head injuries and possible concussion. Her daughter sustained head injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to Durbanville Medi-clinic.

A 23-year old female who was driving in the Polo was treated on the scene for pain in her back before being transported to hospital.

The three occupants of the BMW sustained slight injuries but declined hospital treatment.

The cause of the accident is not known.
